We’re so excited to welcome Alex to our gaggle? Shrewdness? Flock? Sleuth? Bale? Dole? Name-of-collection-to-be-determined group of world-class marketers!

Alex’s experience with animals is renown across the Front Range, and today she helped us learn that a group of sloths is known as a “snuggle of sloths.” Spread the word.

She’s also got amazing marketing experience, and brings a new level of organization and class to the team. World, meet Alex!

What drew you to Magneti?
I can’t remember the last time I had as much fun reading an agency’s About Us page. I soon discovered a company that is serious about an amazing, empowering team culture just as much as top-notch, collaborative client work that follows through on insights. It felt like home!

Animals love you. It’s clear from the backgrounds of our Zoom calls so far. What’s your history with them?
I was a veterinary technician for 7ish years before opening my own professional pet care service in North Denver. I also worked with horses for a short period in the beginning of my career (thank goodness they can’t photobomb the Zoom calls!). At the moment, I am a step-mother to an incredibly quirky cat and am thinking about fostering Corgis. And someone who will talk any new pet owner into pet insurance in a heartbeat (seriously, though).

Name one skill you believe you’ve mastered.
Crepes! I’ve never been a fan of cooking, but my mother was adamant that I come away from living at home with something French under my belt.

If you could invent a new color name for the Crayola crayon box, what would it be?
Moroccan Teal.

You’ve got hobbies. Tell us about them.
SO many! Longstanding hobbies include swing and blues dancing and devouring fantasy/sci-fi literature. There are competitive swing dance videos floating around the web somewhere. COVID reintroduced woodworking into my life, as well as gardening. For the future, I want to get back into throwing clay (pottery) and working with stained glass.

What song describes your outlook on life?
Mon héroïne by Joyce Jonathan. Being your own heroine and a light in the darkness; Or in a less serious space, being a “beacon of joy” (Nathan Pyle cartoons, anyone?).

If you had one extra hour in the day, what would you do with it?
Read for fun in my hammock.

If you could resurrect one extinct animal from the Earth’s history what would it be?The Scimitar-Toothed Cat. It was a smaller version of the sabre-toothed tiger (still around 200-300 pounds) with a shorter tail (think lynxes). Their teeth were also a little smaller, so they’d make for better cuddle buddies.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Calm down. Do the best you can, and when you know better, do better. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Your future biography will be titled:
42: In Haiku.

Welcome to Magneti, Alex!!
