Magneti Marketing Manager Elise Bunting has years of rich experience in marketing communications, with tons of talent in content marketing, project management, SEO, and just about everything in between.
Elise also happens to be adept at a handful of awesome hobbies: experimenting with new artistic mediums, shredding the slopes on her snowboard, and — when the occasion calls for it — dominating the dance floor (to name a few!).
What drew you to Magneti?
I felt connected to its people, the high-quality work, and the idea that leadership is not only appreciated but encouraged on all levels. I immediately felt a connection and wanted to be part of the team.
So . . . Kansas? What was the best part for you about growing up in the breadbasket of the USA? And what are you most excited about with regards to moving to Colorado?
Scenery!
There was something peaceful about growing up with hills of wheat and corn near my childhood home, picturesque sunsets, gorgeous trees to climb, and plenty of kind-hearted people.
Most of my childhood memories are also of competitive cheerleading. Although I played many sports growing up, I stuck with cheer. I learned diligence, hard work, tenacity, and teamwork. I also met some amazing friends and colleagues. One of my favorite perks of cheer was traveling to Florida for end-of-season competition during my all-star and collegiate days!
Being smack dab in the center of the country was nice, but it was especially great when I got to travel to see the rest of the gorgeous country. My family frequented South Carolina, Florida, and California for vacation, as well as Iowa to see family for the holidays.
You mentioned that you love “trying all of the things.” Tell us about your latest learning and exploration.
Self-expression through art! I’ve always enjoyed drawing and using oil pastels as my primary mediums, so now I’m giving oil and acrylic painting a try (again).
Best concert you’ve ever been to?
This is the most difficult one to answer – ha! I’ll give you some of my favorites since I can’t choose: Flume, My Chemical Romance (MCR), and The Home Team.
Tell us about your children—specifically, the furry ones.
My three dogs are the craziest, loveliest best friends I have. I’ve always felt a strong connection to animals. I’m grateful for these rescue dogs! Who rescued who, you know?
Name one game or activity you will always dominate in.
Tearing up a dance floor.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Continue being true to yourself without apologies for what others expect or want of you.
Describe your best “off duty” relaxing day or evening.
Sun bathing with my dogs while listening to music and reading a favorite book OR playing video games with friends with nowhere to be.
